Members of the 51st Bonnyrigg Boys’ Brigade have completed a 28k walking challenge in East Lothian.
The feat was part of a recruitment campaign carried out by the Boys’ Brigade organisation, which this year celebrates its 130th anniversary.
Organiser Sean Campbell said: “The walk was part of a residential weekend held in East Lothian staying at the Innerwick outdoor education center near Dunbar.
“On the Saturday we split into two age groups, the younger of the group, aged 11-14, walked part of the John Muir Way entering Dunbar from the west via Belhaven Bay, totalling 10km. Meanwhile, the senior age group headed to the hills behind Stenton. The boys are working toward their Queen’s Badge and Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award.”
Scott Leslie, a leader within the 51st Bonnyrigg Boys Brigade, added: “The group of boys and leaders had an excellent weekend of activities including the walk, swimming, football and indoor competitions such as table tennis, jenga, quizzes and cooking.
“Everyone was good company and it made for a great fun weekend.”
