Campaigners box clever
campaigners wearing only skimpy cardboard boxes to cover the modesty descended on one of the city’s busiest thoroughfares yesterday afternoon as they called for the University of Edinburgh to action against sweatshops.
The 12 nudies from the university’s People and Planet Society raised eyebrows at Bristo Square, which, on graduation day, was packed with families.
The group – under the watchful eye of the police – attracted the attention of passers-by, many of whom stopped to take pictures of the scene.
