Police in Midlothian can confirm that a large cannabis cultivation has been recovered from an address in Park Avenue, Loanhead.
The cultivation was recovered on Monday, September 14. The cultivation has a maximum street value of £15 000.
A 38-year-old local man has been arrested in connection with this and will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff today (Wednesday September, 16).
Chief Inspector Kenny Simpson, Local Area Commander for Midlothian, said: “Tackling the sale and supply of drugs is a top priority for police in Midlothian.
“It was due to information gathered from the local community that we were able to confiscate this cultivation and we thank the public for helping us bring about this recovery.
“We would also appeal to the public to keep providing us with information, which will allow us to target this type of criminality.
“We will continue to target those individuals who deal illegal substances in our community and will work relentlessly to bring them to justice.”
