Cash boost for rehab centre

A DRUGS rehab centre in the Capital is to launch a series of new projects for 2012.

Simpson House, based in the New Town, has received Scottish Government funding for the initiatives, and is using current resources in an attempt to reduce waiting times and be more intuitive to the needs of those who use its services.

Among the new schemes planned is a dance group for children and young people affected by drug or alcohol misuse in their families.

Volunteers working with service users at Simpson House are also set to be given more opportunities to expand their own skills in the area, and a new befriending service is also planned.
