A facility in Auchendinny is set to return to its rightful place as the “heart of the community”.
The newly-rebuilt Glencorse Centre will officially open on January 11. The £1.2 million project by the community-run Glencorse Association, will include a cafe, meeting rooms, a hall and changing rooms.
Development worker Caroline Wylie is looking to encourage use of the centre, which was a popular venue before it closed in 2007.
“It has been a long time and some people will have forgotten.Hopefully, it will be back to being the heart of the community which it was before,” she added.
