Television production company Gobstopper TV are looking for Edinburgh houses to clean for the second series of the hit cleaning show Filthy House SOS.

After the success of their first series on 5Star and Channel 5, Jonathon Turner, co-owner of Cleaning Queens All Purpose Cleaning and co-host cleaning boss Brennan McDonald are set to tour the country once again cleaning up some of the grimiest homes around.

Previous challenges tackled by the pair include a house that hadn’t been cleaned for 10 years with a microwave that glowed purple from the bacteria, a bedroom with four or five animal cages that "stank" and the emotional case of a woman whose dad had died and her mum had dementia and didn’t want to get rid of anything that belonged to her dad.

Producers are now looking for people who need help cleaning up their home and getting tips to keep it clean for good in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. Filming will take part in July, August and September and the on-screen cleaners will clean up the home in just three days.

Those interested in being part of the new series of Filthy House SOS can email [email protected] for more information, or fill in the online application form which can be found at https://form.jotform.com/201614460158348
