A Midlothian company’s “dog pants” are flying off the shelves after appearing in a recent episode of Eastenders.

Designed by Dean and Vyctoria Brock, the products have enjoyed a spike in sales since bulldog Lady Di wore them in the Queen Vic pub.

The pants are designed to prevent dogs from creating a mess while in season, however the Eastenders storyline saw Lady Di forced into the pants to stop her from mating.

Dean (44), told the Advertiser: “My wife came up with idea when one of our Pomeranians came into season. There weren’t any products out there and so she developed her own.

“It’s taken a number of years to get going due to the huge effort and hard work in attaining dog breed sizes and working out the designs to get the best fit for dogs.”

The Whitehill couple started out by selling to friends at dog shows. Their range now includes incontinence pants.

The company, Glenndarcy Dog Products, takes its name from their first client, Mr Darcy, who had incontinence problems. For more information visit nappy
