Locals in Gorebridge have been urged to co-operate with their surgery in a bid to address their concerns over appointments.
A meeting was held recently between Newbyres Medical Group and Gorebridge Community Council to discuss on-going local concerns about the surgery.
The community council raised local complaints about the surgery including the lack of a full-time doctor.
Responding to worries over appointments the medical group revealed that 221 had been missed in November.
Dr Hamish Reid, from Midlothian Community Health Partnership, attended last week’s Gorebridge Community Council meeting. He urged concerned locals to join the surgery’s Patient Participation Group (PPG) and spoke of patient education in the battle to tackle appointment problems.
He said: “The surgery has set up a patient forum trying to work with the people of Gorebridge. We would encourage people that if there are questions, that would be the best way to have them answered.”
