Cops get 60% approval rate

A SURVEY by Lothian and Borders Police has found that nearly 60 per cent of residents who reported incidents were “very satisfied” with how they were dealt with.

The latest force survey, involving hundreds of people, found that 59 per cent were “very satisfied” while 23 per cent were “fairly satisfied”.

But four per cent said they were “very dissatisfied” with the response and four per cent were “fairly dissatisfied”.

Another 82 per cent were “very satisfied” with the treatment they received from the officers who attended the incident they reported, with 16 per cent “fairly satisfied” and one per cent “fairly dissatisfied”.

The survey found that 62 per cent felt they were “kept adequately informed” about any progress made while 38 per cent felt they were not.
