A brand new customer hub has opened up in Mayfield Library, providing local residents with easier access to a range of council services.
Customers using the hub can meet with their local housing officer to report repairs, and obtain advice. They can also enquire about rent, council tax, crisis grants and make requests for waste services, such as arranging bulky uplifts.
Kevin Anderson, the Council’s Head of Customer and Housing Services said:“The launch of our first customer service hub is part of our commitment to delivering integrated customer service provision at the heart of our communities. Our customer service team will be working in the hub and providing easy access to a wide range of council services for the residents of the Mayfield and Easthouses community.”
If successful this pilot project will be introduced into other areas of Midlothian.
The opening hours are Monday, 9.30am-8pm; Tuesday, 1-8pm; Wednesday, 9.30am-1pm; Thursday and Friday, 9.30am -5pm.
