Appeal after Hibs fans goaded and assaulted at Edinburgh Waverley - but suspect ends up breaking leg and knee

A man was left with a broken leg and kneecap after allegedly goading and assaulting Hibs fans at Edinburgh Waverley train station.

British Transport Police (BTP) said a man jumped on one fan, causing them both to fall over to the ground, at about 9:30pm on Sunday March 1st. The suspect sustained injuries during the fall.

The suspect, who has been identified by officers, is then reported to have assaulted another fan.

BTP are now appealing for witnesses to come forward, especially the two fans who were assaulted.

No arrests have been made.
