Appeal for information on Gorebridge robberies

Police in Midlothian have arrested and charged a man in connection with three robberies and a theft that took place in the Gorebridge area between Monday, December 30. 2013 and Sunday January 5, 2013.

The robberies took place on Greenhall Crescent, Dundas Gardens and New Hunterfield. The theft took place on Hunterfield Terrace.

A 24-year-old man appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday (January 6).

Police are still keen to speak with anyone that witnessed any of the incidents and in particular a passer-by who it is believed saw the robbery on Sunday morning and pursued the male in their vehicle.

A black handbag with white stitching has not been recovered and officers are appealing for anyone who might have knowledge to come forward.
