'Bogus' fishmonger charging 'hugely inflated' prices is going round houses in Edinburgh

Police Scotland has sent out a message warning people of a ‘potential bogus trader’ who is currently operating in the Edinburgh area, selling fish for inflated prices.

The force said that the suspicious person has been going around houses offering fish for sale from a van at ‘hugely inflated prices’.

The man is claiming to be from a company called ‘Seabreeze’ and is described as white, fair hair, around 30 years old, with a North East English accent, wearing jeans and a white jacket.

PC Samantha Campbell said: “Please be aware of a potential bogus trader who is currently operating in the Edinburgh area.

“It is advised that members of the public do not engage with this male or purchase any products from him.”

“Report this to the police on ‘101’ (non-emergency) or ‘999’ (in an emergency).

“If you would rather remain anonymous, you can report any incidents to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
