Broomhall Road assault: Edinburgh police launch CCTV appeal after girl, 17, attacked in Corstorphine

Police have released CCTV of a man they want to speak to in connection with the assault of a 17-year-old girl in the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh.

The incident happened in Broomhall Road at around 6:40pm on Saturday, November 7.

Police said previously that the victim was approached by a man who asked her for the time before she was assaulted. He then ran off along Broomhall Road towards Meadow Place Road.

Police have now released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

He is described as aged about 30, about 5ft 5ins in height, of slim but muscular build, with dark hair and fair eyebrows. He was also wearing a dark jacket.

Detective Sergeant Mark Seymour said anyone with information should call police on on 101, quoting incident 1676 of Sunday, 8 November, 2020, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
