Cyclist seriously injured after crash with bus in Livingston

A cyclist has been seriously injured after a collision with a bus in Livingston.

The crash happened on Almondvale Avenue, which runs through the shopping centre area between the Centre and the Designer Outlet in Livingston, on Friday.

The 21-year-old male cyclist was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary after the collision, which happened at around 7.45pm.

Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident to come forward.

Sergeant Stephen Quinn of the Livingston Road Policing Unit said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision and who has not spoken to officers to come forward.

“We are also appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and who has dashcam footage or any other information which may assist to get in touch.”
