A spokesperson for the force confirmed: "Officers were called around 12.04pm on Tuesday, 12 January, 2021, following the sudden death of a 31-year-old man at a property in Glendevon Park, Winchburgh.

"Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained, are continuing.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."

According to the Procurator Fiscal’s office, most sudden and unexplained deaths are reported to it because a doctor cannot confirm the cause of the death and therefore cannot issue a death certificate.
