Drug charges and alcohol confiscated: East Lothian police crack down on antisocial behaviour

Officers confiscated alcohol and charged a group of youths for drug use during a crackdown on antisocial behaviour over the weekend.

Police were called to Fisherrow Harbour, Musselburgh, Cockenzie Harbour and Cuthill Park, Prestonpans, in relation to large numbers of youths drinking alcohol and causing a disturbance on Friday and Saturday.

They confiscated alcohol and charged three men involved in the incident for being in possession of drugs.

Officers were also called out to deal with groups of people at Tyninghame Beach after reports of inconsiderate wild camping.

A complaint was also reported to them of someone driving a motorbike recklessly in the Bing area of Ormiston.

A 25-year-old male was apprehended by officers and charged a short time later after he was found with illegal drugs on him.
