East Lothian driver cautioned and charged after failing a breath test

A man has been charged with road traffic offences after failing a breath test in Whittingehame Drive, Haddington on the evening of Monday, June 29.
Officers tested the man after their attention had been drawn to a vehicle parked near the skate park.

Hide AdThis caution comes as Police Scotland launch their Summer Drink/ Drug Campaign 2020.
East Lothian Police stated: “As traffic levels increase with the easing of coronavirus restrictions, this campaign provides an opportunity to renew our focus on reducing road casualties by increasing awareness of the risks associated with drink/drug driving.
“Local officers have been on proactive patrols throughout the county in recent days and will continue to do so during the campaign and beyond.”
Police Scotland are asking the public to be responsible and not drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
