East Lothian fire: 13-year-old charged with vehicle fire in Tranent

A 13-year-old boy has been charged after a large vehicle and trailer fire in an East Lothian town.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to a fire in Well Wynd, Tranent on Monday afternoon, and the intensity of the blaze was so strong that nearby property was also damaged.

Following police enquiries, a 13-year-old boy was traced and charged.

Anybody with any further information should contact the police on 101 and quote incident number 1888 of August 24, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
