Police have seized a “substantial” quantity of heroin and cannabis in a drugs raid in East Lothian.

Officers executed a drugs warrant at an address in Moir Place, Musselburgh, on Friday February 12 and also recovered a quantity of cash.

A 63-year-old woman and 50-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for drugs offences.

Local area commander, Chief Inspector Neil Mitchell, said: “This is a substantial recovery as part of Operation Juneau and shows our continued commitment to eradicate the harm caused by controlled drugs in East Lothian.”

Operation Juneau is a multi-agency initiative aimed at tackling the harm caused to communities in East Lothian by substance misuse.
