“We would like to remind those visiting these areas to stick to the social distancing guidelines and be reminded that there are local alcohol byelaws in place throughout East Lothian.
“Also, so that everyone can enjoy our outdoor spaces, please be considerate and take litter home with you.
“Our officers will be conducting hi-visibility patrols, along with East Lothian Council community wardens and countryside rangers, across the county over the weekend, both during the day and in the evenings.

The warning comes after police dealt with a number of incidents across Edinburgh and the Lothians in the last spell of fine weather in June.
Officers were called to The Meadows, in Edinburgh’s Old Town, where fights broke out when hundreds of people gathered to enjoy the sunshine.
