Edinburgh driver caught travelling at almost twice the legal speed limit
Road Police in Edinburgh were carrying out speed enforcement work on the A8 when they pulled over a driver going almost twice the legal limit.
The individual was caught on Monday morning near Edinburgh Airport, driving at 71mph despite being in an area that enforces a 40mph speed limit.
The driver has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
The officers took a picture of the speed they recorded and shared the incident on social media to discourage others from breaking the law and travelling at such high speeds.
