A man who allegedly shared pictures of domestic abuse on social media has been arrested and charged.

The police made the arrest after the pictures were circulated across Facebook over the weekend.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received reports of images circulating on social media relating to an incident of domestic abuse in Edinburgh on Saturday, 20 June, 2020.

"A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with this and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today (Wednesday, 24 June)."
