Five arrests made following further Scottish Cup investigations

A further five arrests have been made following a police operation in connection with the violence and disorder at the Scottish Cup Final in May.

The operation and subsequent arrests by Police Scotland yesterday takes the total number of arrests following the Scottish Cup Final to 55.

All five arrests yesterday regarded offences under the Offensive Behaviour at Football (Scotland) Act with three offenders also being charged with alleged assault.

Those arrested were:

A 17 year-old man arrested in connection with alleged offences under the Offensive Behaviour at Football (Scotland) Act 2012.

A 22 year-old man arrested in connection with alleged offences under the Offensive Behaviour at Football (Scotland) Act 2012

A 15 year-old female arrested in connection with alleged offences under the Offensive Behaviour at Football (Scotland) Act 2012 and an alleged assault.

A 35 year-old man arrested in connection with alleged offences under the Offensive Behaviour at Football (Scotland) Act 2012 and an alleged assault.

The 15-year-old was released while the others were detained.
