Officers and forensic experts have been spotted in a cordoned-off area of Edinburgh following reports of a “disturbance” last night.

The specialists have been photographed outside a property in Hawkhill Avenue where a man was injured last night (Wednesday, May 13).

The 27-year-old was taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

Two men, aged 48 and 41, and a 34-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police are appealing for information to assist them with finding a fourth person believed to be involved.

Detective Inspector Clark Martin, of Gayfield CID, said: “Our enquiries continue to trace a further individual believed to be involved in the incident and we'd urge anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or has any information that could assist our investigation to come forward.”
