Four balaclava-clad men assault 62-year-old during 'callous' raid on his West Lothian home

A 62-YEAR-OLD man was injured when four robbers forced their way into a flat in West Lothian.

Police said the man suffered a minor facial injury during the incident in Craigshill, Livingston, on Saturday.

They said it happened between 9pm and 10pm when the four men forced their way into the flat in Forth Drive and some items of property was stolen.

The men, who were wearing dark clothing, with their faces covered with balaclava type hats, may have made off in a silver hatchback car.

Detective Constable Kenny Alexander, of West Lothian CID, said: “This was a callous, unprovoked attack which has left the man involved injured and badly shaken.

“I would ask anyone who was in the Forth Drive area of Craigshill and saw anything suspicious around the time of this incident to get in touch.

“Likewise, anyone who has information that may help in our investigation should call West Lothian CID on 101, quoting incident number 4536 of Saturday, 22 February, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
