Jewellery stolen during Roslin break-in

Thousands of pounds worth of jewellery has been stolen following a Roslin break-in.

The incident happened at the Woodend Cottage sometime between 6am on Sunday, June 22 and 12.30pm on Saturday, June 28.

After returning from holiday, the homeowner found that her property had been entered and between £2,000 and £3,000 worth of jewellery was stolen.

Officers are now conducting local enquiries to identify those responsible and anyone who can assist with their investigation is asked to come forward.

PC Cameron Walker from the Community Investigation Unit, said: “This housebreaking has left the occupant very distressed and she is keen to have her possessions returned to her.

“We would urge anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in the area last week to contact police immediately.

“In addition, those with any further information relevant to this enquiry are also asked to get in touch.”
