Jewellery worth four-figure sum stolen from Royal Mile shop

Police were called to Palenque on Edinburgh’s High Street at around 8am when it was reported the shop had a broken front window.
Pictures showed a police vehicle at the scene, with officers patrolling the a cordon.

Hide AdIt has now been confirmed that jewellery worth a four-figure sum was taken.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called around 8am this morning, Sunday, 15 November, 2020, to a report that the window of a jewellery shop on High Street, Edinburgh, had been damaged.
"Subsequent enquiries established that this was now a housebreaking and that jewellery, worth a four figure sum - had been stolen.
"Enquiries are continuing.”
Police also confirmed that they were called to a gathering of ‘more than 100 people’ in Edinburgh’s Bristo Square on Saturday.
