There will be an increase in police patrols in an East Lothian beauty spot after reports of a suspicious man in the area were verified after police happened upon him while on patrol.

Police Scotland announced that they would be undertaking ‘focused reassurance patrols’ around John Muir Country Park after receiving the reports of a suspicious male in the area.

On Thursday morning during their patrol, the police stopped and identified the man responsible and he was spoken to regarding his actions.

Anyone wishing to speak to Police in relation to this matter are encouraged to contact Constables Hutchison or Bamford of Dunbar Police Station, quoting incident reference 537 of 23/02/2021.
