Loanhead park prowler arrested

A 28-year-old man has been charged after police received reports of several women being subject to inappropriate comments in Loanhead parks on March 25.

A police spokesman said: “On Thursday, March 25, 2021, officers responded to multiple reports of a male making inappropriate comments to several females in parks within the Loanhead area.

“Funded officers from Midlothian Community Action Team (MCAT) have since carried out extensive enquiries, including with public transport.

"We can confirm that a 28-year-old male has been charged and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”

Meanwhile, on April 3, police were told of an ongoing fight within an address on Eastfield Drive, Penicuik. A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault.
