Man arrested after three robberies in one day

A man has been arrested following three robberies from convenience stores in the South West of Edinburgh.

The shops in Slateford Road, Comiston Road and Oxgangs Broadway were targeted on Sunday February 12 with various items and cash stolen from each premises.

Following a search of a property in Gorgie Road on Monday February 27 a 31-year-old man was detained and subsequently charged in connection with these incidents.

He is scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday February 28.
