Man arrested and charged following fires in Silverknowes

A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a series of fires was started in part of north-west Edinburgh.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of fire raising incidents in Edinburgh.

"He has been charged in connection with a number of fires in the Silverknowes area of the city in the early hours of Wednesday, 27 January.

“He is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, 28 January.”
