DALKEITH:

On April 12, officers stopped a vehicle after observing it driving at speed on the A7 near Hardengreen roundabout. A quantity of cannabis was found on the 18-year-old driver. He was issued with a recorded police warning and the cannabis was seized.

NEWTONGRANGE / MAYFIELD:

On April 17, following reports of a disturbance in Main Street, a number of men were traced fighting in the street acting in a threatening and abusive manner. All were issued with recorded police warnings.

On April 17, following a number of calls to a gathering at a premises in the Newtongrange area, a large group was found consuming alcohol and breaching Covid 19 regulations. Three men responsible for the premises have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal

On April 16, following a neighbour dispute at Third Street Newtongrange, a 55 year old man conducted himself in a threatening and abusive manner. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

BONNYRIGG:

On Thursday, April 15, a 27 year old man was found in possession of Diamorphine in the Douglas Crescent area. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

LOANHEAD:

On Monday, April 12, officers received a call to the Straiton area regarding a driver under the influence of alcohol. Officers attended and traced the male driver who was arrested for failing to provide a specimen of breath. He subsequently failed to provide a breath test at the police station and was charged. He was held to appear at court the following day.

On Sunday, April 18, following a number of calls in relation to an off-road motorcycle in the Loanhead area, a 16 year old male was traced and his bike seized.

PENICUIK:

On Friday, April 16, officers carrying out patrols in Penicuik Estate traced a group of 17-18 year olds congregating around a fire in the woods. An 18 year old male was found in possession cannabis and issued with a Police Warning.

ROSLIN / ROSEWELL:

On Friday, April 16, a 33 year old man was cautioned and charged following a report of assault by a shop keeper in Rosewell. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
