DALKEITH:

At 2.50am on Friday, August 21, officers attended at Edmonstone Terrace, Danderhall, following reports of a disturbance. A 19 year old man was traced and issued with a fixed penalty notice.

At 1.30am on Sunday, August 23, two men, aged 20 and 21, were given recorded police warnings following reports of them shouting and swearing in the street.

NEWTONGRANGE / MAYFIELD:

At about 1pm on Thursday, August 20, at Langlaw Road, Mayfield, a 26 year old man was stopped driving an off-road motorbike on the road. Enquiries found there was no insurance for the vehicle and it was seized. A report for various road traffic offences has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

At around 7pm on Saturday, August 22, at Andrew Dodds Avenue, Mayfield, a vehicle was seen by officers being driven in a dangerous manner at speed along various streets in the area. The driver was a 43 year old woman, who on being arrested began shouting and swearing at officers. She was held in custody to appear to Edinburgh Sheriff Court in relation to the offences.

GOREBRIDGE:

At about 12pm on Friday, August 21, a vehicle was stopped at Vogrie Road, Gorebridge. The driver, a 49 year old man, was found in possession of cannabis and given a recorded police warning.

At around 11pm on Friday, August 21, a vehicle was stopped at Glen View Road, Gorebridge. Due to the smell of cannabis coming from the vehicle a search was carried out and a small amount of cannabis found. The 24 year old male driver was given a recorded police warning for the offence.

BONNYRIGG:

At around 12.30am on Monday, August 17, a 27 year old man was asked to leave the Royal Oak public house in Bonnyrigg, due to his behaviour. On leaving the premises the man punched a window, smashing it. He has been reported for vandalism to the Procurator Fiscal.

At 12.50am on Monday, August 17, at Polton Street, Bonnyrigg, a 29 year old woman was issued with a fixed penalty notice for shouting and swearing in the street having failed to desist on being asked numerous times by officers.

At around 1pm on Monday, August 17, officers attended at an address in Park Crescent Bonnyrigg due to a number of complaints of anti- social behaviour. The occupier was arrested for behaving in a threatening manner and shouting abuse at officers. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

At 6pm on Friday, August 21, a 24 year old man was seen by officers to be driving whilst using his mobile telephone. The vehicle was stopped and enquiries found the driver did not have a certificate of insurance in force for the vehicle. The vehicle was seized and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to the offences.

LOANHEAD:

At 1.30am on Thursday, August 20, officers stopped a vehicle in Edgefield Gardens, Loanhead which was being driven without any lights on. Officers suspected that the 35 year old female driver was under the influence and tests found the amount of alcohol she had consumed was above the legal amount to drive. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

At about 1.30pm on Thursday, August 20, police were called to the Next store at Straiton Retail Park regarding a 39 year old woman acting suspiciously. On being traced she was seen to be removing stickers from property, which enquiries found to have been stolen. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

PENICUIK:

At 11.50pm on Saturday, August 22, officers attended outside Pentland House, Edinburgh Road, Penicuik following a report of a disturbance. An 18 year old man acting in a threatening and abusive manner was given an official police warning in relation to his behaviour.
