DALKEITH:

On Saturday, January 16, at Eskdaill Court, following a number of reports of disturbances in the area, two 19 year old women were traced and held to appear at court having conducted themselves in a threatening and abusive manner and being in possession of offensive weapons.

NEWTONGRANGE / MAYFIELD:

On Thursday, January 14, at Oak Crescent, a call was received reporting that a 25 year old woman was being aggressive towards members of the Scottish Ambulance Service. On officers attending a 25 year old woman was arrested for conducting herself in a threatening and abusive behaviour towards officers. She was held to appear at court.

On Friday, January 15, at David Scott Avenue, a 50 year old man assaulted another man by punching him on the face. The 50 year old man was given a Recorded Police Warning.

GOREBRIDGE:

On Wednesday, January 13, at David Herkes Way, a man was arrested for acting in an aggressive and abusive manner and being in possession of a knife. He was held to appear at court.

On Wednesday, January 13, at Hunterfield Road, a motor car being driven by a 29 year old man was stopped by officers after the driver was observed driving the vehicle whilst using a mobile telephone. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal

On Saturday, January 16, following a report of a disturbance at an address in David Herkes Way, a number of fixed penalty tickets were issued to the occupants in relation to breaches of Covid-19 Regulations.

On Tuesday, January 12, officers stopped a vehicle at Lasswade Road, Lasswade, being driven by a 23 year old man. He was found to only have a provisional license and his passenger was not qualified to supervise him due to having had his licence for under three years. A check revealed that there was no insurance in force. The vehicle was seized and a report submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to a number of road traffic offences.

On Friday, January 15, a van being driven by a 46 year old man was stopped by officers at Lasswade Road, Lasswade after he was observed driving whilst using a mobile phone. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal

On Saturday, January 16, a vehicle was stopped at Dobbies Road, where officers carried out a search of the 19 and 22 year old male occupants and the vehicle and found a number of illegal drugs. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

On Saturday, January 16, an 18 year old woman was found in possession of herbal cannabis by officers at Eskdale Court. She was issued with a Recorded Police Warning.

On Monday, January 11, a 27 year old man was stopped driving a car in Clerk Street, where it was established he did not have a valid certificate of insurance. The vehicle was seized and a report submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

PENICUIK:

On Wednesday, January 13, a 25 year old man was charged following a report of an assault at an address in Penicuik. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
