DALKEITH:

On Tuesday, December 1, a 57 year old man entered a premises on Dalkeith High Street and shouted racial remarks. The man was subsequently traced and charged. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

NEWTONGRANGE / MAYFIELD:

On Monday, November 30, at Mayfield Place Mayfield, two men, aged 20 and 31 years old, acted in a threatening and abusive behaviour towards each other. Both were charged and both issued with a fixed penalty notice.

On Tuesday, December 1, police on the A7 at Gorebridge observed a motorist driving whilst holding a mobile phone. The driver was stopped and charged in connection with careless driving and reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

On Tuesday, December 1, police attended at an address in Hughes Crescent, Mayfield in relation to an abandoned 999 call. On attendance, a woman in possession of a screwdriver threatened to stab officers. The woman was promptly arrested and charged in connection with police assault, threatening and abusive behaviour, resisting arrest and breach of bail, and she was reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

GOREBRIDGE:

On Tuesday, December 1, at A7 Newton Loan Toll, a 47 Year old woman was observed driving a car with her mobile phone in her hand. She was charged with a road traffic offence and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

LOANHEAD:

On Tuesday, December 1, following a hit and run collision on The Loan, Loanhead, a 37 year old woman was traced and charged with driving while unfit though alcohol in her system. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

PENICUIK:

On Monday, November 30, police attended Belwood Road, Penicuik in response to a disturbance. A 39 year old man was charged in connection with using threatening and abusive behaviour and reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
