Midlothian police chief is named

Chief Superintendent Gill Imery has been named the new chief of police in Midlothian.

Chief Supt Imery has 27 years service in a variety of roles.

Most recently she has been part of Police Scotland’s specialist crime division, where as Detective Chief Supt for local crime and public protection she led on public protection, including the national rape taskforce and the national human trafficking unit.
