Police have appealed for information from the public in an investigation into a wilful fire-raising at the Loretto playing fields in Musselburgh.

Officers said the fire at the clubhouse on Mountjoy Terrace started at around 9:15pm on Saturday, June 13.

“We are particularly keen to trace a group of youths seen running from Mountjoy Terrace towards the Brunton Hall at this time,” the police appeal said.

“Anyone with information is urged to call 101 and quote incident number 3853 of 13/06/20.

“Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
