Police in East Lothian are appealing for information after a car was deliberately set on fire in Tranent.

The incident happened in the Lindores Drive area of Tranent just before midnight on Sunday, June 7.

The police have stressed that the police presence in that area on Monday morning was not related to this crime and just part of a routine patrol.

Anyone with information of the incident is encouraged to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 4149 of Sunday, June 7.
