A large police presence was spotted at the Meadows last night after a large group of youths gathered near to the Pavilion.
Following several incidents of disorder at the popular beauty spot during lockdown, police officers recently appealed to the public to refrain from gathering there in large groups.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Evening News: “Around 6:30pm, officers attended near to the Pavilion in The Meadows and spoke with a group of youths that had gathered.
“Officers will continue to engage with the public, explain the legislation and guidance and encourage compliance.
“We will use enforcement as a last resort only where there is a clear breach of the legislation.”

Several people have taken to social media to vent their anger about the mess being left behind, which has included disposable barbecues scorching the grass and litter being left strewn across the park.
Fights between groups of youths have also broken out in the area, with police being called to attend on several occasions.
Best-selling crime writer Ian Rankin, who lives beside the Meadows, is among those to have highlighted concerns.
