Police demand immediate stop after reports of youths on e-scooters terrorising and harassing East Lothian residents increase

The reports of dangerous anti-social behaviour include groups of youths terrorising and harassing bus drivers and passengers after pressing the emergency stop buttons, and others harassing residents while riding e-scooters.
Police have said that the actions are “extremely dangerous” and say that they are impacting the local community and services, and as such, should “stop immediately”.

Hide AdTo deal with the issue, additional patrols by uniformed and plain-clothed officers will be carried out in the area and police say that any individuals discovered to be involved in the poor behaviour will be dealt with accordingly.
Parents are being asked to think about where their own children are and what they are doing while they are not at home.
