Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses after the theft and killing of chickens in Lochgelly.

The incident occurred overnight between Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3.

The chickens were stolen, killed and left in gardens and driveways of local properties.

The Police have reported that they are following a positive line of enquiry.

Sergeant Donald Sutherland, of Cowdenbeath Police Station, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we would ask anyone with CCTV footage in the area or who may have information that could assist with our investigation to contact police.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 0865 of May 3.
