Police investigate after assault on 17-year-old near Liberton High School

The teenager was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary last night

Police enquiries are ongoing after a 17-year-old male was assaulted on Gilmerton Road, near Liberton High School last night.

The incident happened at around 7:50pm on Thursday 13 February and the youth was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he is being treated for his injuries.

Police confirmed that the incident did not happen on school grounds.

Any witnesses, or anyone with information is asked to contact Howdenhall Police Station through 101 quoting reference number 3012 of 13 February.
