Several police units have been spotted in the Gorgie Road area of the city following reports of a disturbance.

At least four police vehicles attended the scene at around 13.45 this afternoon.

An eyewitness, who wishes to remain anonymous, told the Evening News that several officers made their way into a tenement flat next to the TSB bank.

A police spokesperson told the Evening News that officers had followed up on a report of a disturbance at a property.

It is understood the incident is not of a serious nature.
