The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the flames but significant damage was caused to the van.

Officers are now carrying out enquiries in an effort to trace a group of three men who were seen in the area.

They are described as being in their 20’s and with possible ‘Mohican’ style haircuts.

Detective Constable Iain Duncan said: “Thankfully no one was injured as a result of these fires and the fire service was able to quickly bring them under control. However, valuable property was damaged and the consequences could have been far worse.

“I’m appealing to anyone in the local community who can help identify the suspects to come forward.

“I’d also be interested to hear from anyone who was in the Craigshill on Monday night into Tuesday morning.”
