Police search Arthur's Seat for missing teenager who has now been found

Several police vehicles were spotted at Arthur’s Seat this evening during a search for a missing teenager.

A passerby in the area saw officers with dogs walking around the hill this evening at about 6pm.

A police spokeswoman has confirmed officers were in the area looking for a teenager who had been reported missing.

In a statement she said: “Police Scotland was conducting activity in the Arthur's Seat area of Edinburgh this afternoon as part of a search for a missing teenage boy, who was traced safely."
