Reports of armed police in Duddingston as man arrested during disturbance

A 32-year-old man has been arrested as police descend on Duddingston Row in the early hours of the morning.

One local reported seeing ‘armed officers’ and around ‘20 riot police’ at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.40am on Wednesday, 24 June, we were called to reports of a disturbance at a property in Duddingston Row, Edinburgh.

“Officers attended and a 32-year-old man was arrested.”

Though ambulance’s were allegedly also at the scene, nobody was injured and the incident was contained in the property.
