“Sad times we live in”: Edinburgh fishery targeted by thieves

A store hut owned by Clubbiedean Fishery on Torduff Road near Bonaly, has been targeted by thieves who made off with an electric outboard and fishing equipment.

Thieves broke in to the equipment hut late in the evening of Monday, June 22.

Clubbiedean released a list of stolen items that included: Shakespere agility rise 2 a 9ft number five rod, Bison outboard engine, Snowbee number five to six reel with green floating line, Greys 10ft number six to seven rod, Cortland fly rod with reel and six Shakespeare firebird Bait rods with reels

The fishery is at Clubbiedean Reservoir on Torduff Road and offers boat rental, rod hire with bait and basic tackle.
