Scottish Air Ambulance called during Pentlands rescue mission

The Scottish Ambulance Service, a Coastguard helicopter and Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team were all called to the scene near the dry ski-slope at Hillend, in the south of Edinburgh, at 2:20pm.
It followed reports of a person who needed emergency assistance in the area.

Hide AdThe region has been blanketed with snow since Monday evening.
The air ambulance, which was spotted by locals as it landed near Hillend, is thought to have since landed at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
It is not yet known whether it was carrying a casualty.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.20pm on Tuesday, 29 December, 2020, we were made aware of a report of a person needing assistance in the Pentland Hills, near the ski-slope at Hillend, Edinburgh.
"The Scottish Ambulance Service, Coastguard helicopter and Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team are in attendance.”
