Police are investigating the latest break-in on Slateford Road in Edinburgh as a second premises is targeted this week.

The business, believed to be the Dolls House hairdressers suffered damage during the attempted break-in that occurred on Tuesday afternoon.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “"Police were called around 5.50pm on Tuesday, 16 June, 2020, following the report of an attempted break-in to a business premises on Slateford Road, Edinburgh.

"The external doors to the premises were damaged and enquiries are ongoing by our Community Investigation Unit to trace those involved."

Nearby business Jashans, a popular Bangladeshi restaurant, was targeted by thieves on Monday, where hundreds of pounds of cash and equipment were stolen.

The Edinburgh Evening News attempted to contact Dolls House for comment but they are closed due to lockdown.
